Finally, a dream come true
Since my mid high-school days I have been a huge Blink-182 fan. I started listening to their music and buying CDs in grade eight or nine and thus (yes, a Blink fan can say "thus") I became a bigger and bigger fan as time went on.
They played in Vancouver a couple of times but at that time - living in Nanaimo - not being exposed to many concerts, I didn't even think of going. I hadn't even been to a concert. And I wasn't the biggest Blink fan at the time. It wasn't a big deal at the time but as the nearly ten years went by, I became a huge fan and regretted never seeing Blink-182 play live before they broke up.
So you can imagine how excited I was when they announced their reunion and a reunion tour for this summer. I bought tickets and I'm pumped to go see them play.
They started their 2009 reunion tour on Thursday. Here is a review of the concert in Las Vegas. As you can imagine, their last song - arguably the most popular - was "Dammit". Check out the video of "Dammit" from Vegas below.
Blink is playing in Vancouver on Tuesday, July 28th and I'm going with a friend of mine from high-school. How fitting. I'm starting the nostalgia now and will be listening to the trio's music all weekend long. I will take pics and hopefully video and post them on Wednesday!
